Complete National, WBC, Smith or Langstroth hives - available flat packed or assembled and made right here at our factory in Lincolnshire.

Made from home grown Western Red cedar from sustainable forests. Timber may have solid live knots or small splits, and some panels may be plugged. All frames are also economy grade timber from sustainable forests in Scandanavia.  This sort of timber is commonly known in the beekeeping industry as ‘seconds’.

Cedar is the timber of choice for beehives.  It is much lighter than pine and immensly more durable. To learn more about our cedar hives see our FAQ page.

It does not need to be treated or painted (unlike pine) because the natural oils in the wood repley moisture.  However we do supply a range of bee friendly paints if you want a colourful beehive.
