If You See an Asian Hornet...

Asian Hornets are an invasive non-native species in Great Britain and should be reported immediately.

Notify the Great Britain Non Native Species Secretariat (NNSS) as soon as possible. Sightings should ideally be reported using the free Asian Hornet Watch app, available for both Android and iPhone devices.

Before reporting, if it is safe to do so, try to take a clear photograph of the insect to aid identification. Do not attempt to destroy a nest yourself, as nests can contain thousands of hornets and may pose a risk to public safety.

Prompt reporting helps authorities locate and eradicate nests quickly, reducing the threat to bees, other pollinators, and biodiversity across the UK.
