Family Bee Experience Day

A day out learning about bees! So what’s all the buzz about bees? Find out on this exciting day where we learn about honeybees as well as some of the many other types of bee. We’ll get to see the process of how honey gets from the comb into the jar, get to wear protective bee suits, light up a bee smoker and get really close to a live honeybee colony! Keep your eyes peeled for the queen and watch the fascinating world of bee life close up, including pollen collection, waggle dances and all the stages of the developing young baby bees. Learn about which foods you like to eat have been pollinated by bees, learn about beeswax and make your own candle.
