About Thorne

We have been making beekeeping equipment in Lincolnshire for over 100 years.

We are proud to be the leading manufacturer and retailer of beekeeping equipment in the UK, and are renowned throughout the world for the quality of the beehives we produce.

Many of our customers have been shopping with us for years and often ask about our history and where we have come from. We hope the information in our About Us section proves an interesting read.

Filmed in the Autumn of 2020, for the Virtual National Honey Show, the video to the right takes a tour around Thornes head office and factory. From the wax plant to the woodshop, assembly department to the shop and despatch. Hopefully this gives a feel of our main site in Lincolnshire.
